The Judicial Independence Committee of the National Association of Women Judges implements the Informed Voters – Fair Judges Project. This Emmy award-winning civic education project strives to increase public understanding of our judicial system, promote an independent and impartial judiciary, and rebuild trust and confidence in our courts. A variety of educational resources are available including interactive presentations, training, informational handouts, research, videos, animations, and more.
Recognizing the importance of public trust and confidence in the courts, the Judicial Independence Committee is dedicated to judicial integrity and accountability. Partnerships with other judicial and legal organizations provide an expanded network of educational opportunities throughout the country. NAWJ members have access to presentation materials and training. Judges are encouraged to learn more about these efforts and participate locally using a variety of models.
