NEW ORLEANS' ADVOCATE SHOWS 'GOOD JUDGE-MENT' ON NAWJ 2013 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The always-fun theme of Mardi Gras prevailed at the reception for the National Association of Women Judges during its recent conference. Approximately 300 attendees rubbed shoulders, including Louisiana Supreme Court Chief JusticeBernette Joshua Johnson (joined by daughter Rachael Johnson) and 40th Judicial Court Judge Mary Hotard Becnel, who co-chaired the conference. NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN JUDGES ANNOUNCES 2013-2014 BOARD OF DIRECTORS, OFFICERS

The National Association of Women Judges swore in officers for its 2013-2014 year at its Annual Gala Banquet and Business Meeting on Saturday October 12th in New Orleans. The announcements were made nearing the end of one of NAWJ's most celebrated conferences. DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA COURT OF APPEALS JUDGE ANNA BLACKBURNE-RIGSBY SWORN IN AS 34TH PRESIDENT OF NAWJ

Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby was sworn in as the 34th President of the National Association of Women Judges at its 2013 Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 12, 2013.
